SCHOLARSHIP

Scholarship is a top priority for Chi Omega Psi Kappa. One of Chi Omega's six purposes is Academic Excellence and Intellectual Pursuits. Our chapter proudly held the #2 Highest GPA in Clemson Panhellenic for the Fall 2023 semester! Chi Omega expects each member to achieve a high scholarship and to develop to the fullest of her intellectual potential. Each chapter is required to set a definite scholarship average which each member must maintain in order to retain the social privileges of active membership.

Our sisters are in about every major on campus, from Biological Sciences to Education, and Nursing to Finance. We also have sisters who are members of the exclusive Clemson Honors College, Academic Fraternities, and Honor Societies.

Meet our vice president

The opportunity to become Vice President of the Psi Kappa Chapter of Chi Omega goes back to bid day in 2022 as a homesick freshman who had no sense of direction. What I did not realize that day was that the people I was surrounded with would define my college years and make Clemson University feel like home. Each and every woman has helped me learn and grow as a student and a person. Now, as an executive member of Chi Omega, I could not be more grateful for the opportunity to lead such a lovely group of women with such a strong sense of sisterhood.

As Vice President, one of the roles that I am entrusted with is the director of scholarship. As someone who strongly values education, this holds immense importance to me. Being the face of the educational aspect of Psi Kappa allows me to contribute to the academic success of this chapter, and I could not be more honored. This is more than a role to me; this is an opportunity to contribute to the growth of each woman in this chapter. I look forward to fostering a fun and positive environment where education is both encouraged and celebrated.

As I step into Vice President, I am filled with a deep sense of gratitude and excitement for the upcoming year! Chi Omega has given me so much, and I am genuinely excited about the opportunity to give back during my time in this leadership position. Serving as Vice President is not just a responsibility; it's a chance to contribute to the legacy of our sorority, ensuring that future members find the same lifelong friendships that have made my Chi Omega experience so meaningful.

Vice President, Dory Damon
